Privacy Policy
Tawaqa ("we") is a social prediction game of quick yes-or-no calls. This page explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect what the game needs to run and nothing more — no ads, no third-party trackers, and we never sell personal data.
What we collect
Your account. The first time you open the app it creates an anonymous account with a random ID — no name, no email, no password. You choose a username and a monogram colour, and can add a short bio. If you choose to save your account, we also store the email address you link.
Your activity. The calls you make, the cards you save, the people and accounts you follow, the questions you publish, the reports you file, and the Edge score and record that result from all of it.
Technical basics. A session token kept on your device so you stay signed in; a push token if you enable notifications; and the standard server logs (such as IP addresses) our infrastructure keeps to run and protect the service. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and this website sets no cookies.
What we use it for
To run Tawaqa: show cards, record your calls, settle results and compute your Edge. To personalise your feed from your own activity. To review published questions for safety. To send notifications you asked for. To answer your support requests. That is the whole list — no ads, and no selling or renting of personal data.
AI processing
Two narrow features use AI services. When you write a question, its text is checked by an automated referee (Anthropic) before it can publish. Search and feed personalisation turn card text and search queries into numeric representations (Voyage AI). These services process content text, not your name or email.
Where your data lives
Account data is stored with Supabase on Amazon Web Services in the Asia-Pacific (Mumbai) region. This website is served by Cloudflare. Push notifications, if you enable them, are delivered through Expo’s notification service.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app — Profile, then Settings, then Delete account — which permanently removes your name, bio, email, profile, Edge, saves, follows and notifications. Questions you published stay with no name on them, and your past calls stay inside the crowd numbers other people saw, with nothing linking them to you. The full detail is at tawaqa.app/delete-account.
Your rights
Applicable data-protection law — including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law — gives you rights over your personal data, including access, correction and deletion. For anything you cannot do in the app itself, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account.
Age
Tawaqa is for people 18 or older.
